Mrs. Goodyear - Math Literature and Technology

MATH LITERATURE AND TECHNOLOGY
The focus of the MLT program is to promote literacy and mathematics skills through technology integration. Every elementary student participates in a wide variety of technology integration projects using Microsoft Office applications, Inspiration, Type to Learn, the Internet, and other instructional software. Students learn basic computer skills and terminology, while reinforcing important concepts in mathematics, language arts, science and social studies.
MEET THE TEACHER
Mrs. Sandra Goodyear has been a MLT teacher teaching K through 5th graders at Hanover for 10 years. The MLT program has gone through many changes and is located in Hanover's computer lab. Mrs. Goodyear previously taught pre-school at Hanover School, third grade at Nathan Hale, and graduate school at Sacred Heart University. Mrs. Goodyear has an undergraduate degree in elementary education from Southern Connecticut State University, a Masters Degree in elementary science from Southern Connecticut State University and a Masters Degree in Oral Tradition from the Graduate Institute. Mrs. Goodyear is presently a BEST Mentor with the state of CT and a Mathletix Coach at Hanover. She and her husband Ted live in South Meriden, they are the proud parents of two grown daughters, Kelly and Erica.
